Committees and Communication
The Town of Eston and the RM of Snipe Lake work together through a number of joint committees to help guide services, programs, and long-term planning for our community. These committees include representation from both municipalities and, in some cases, community members at large. Their role is to provide input, explore opportunities, and make recommendations to their respective Councils.
While committees play an important advisory role, the day-to-day operations and final decisions rest with the municipal Councils and administrative staff. For any questions, service requests, or concerns, please contact the Town or RM office directly. This ensures your inquiry is documented and directed to the appropriate person for follow-up.
Member-at-Large (MAL) Opportunities
The Town of Eston and the RM of Snipe Lake wish to maintain an ongoing list of individuals interested in serving as Members-at-Large (MAL) on joint committees that have member at large seats.
While there may not always be current vacancies, applications are accepted on a continuous basis and will be considered as opportunities arise.
- Committees that have members at large appointments; Health, Economic Development and Recreation
- Applications are kept on file and reviewed when vacancies occur
- MAL positions are for a two (2) year term
- Individuals may reapply, with no limit on the number of terms
- Appointments are reviewed annually
